The Company

Axalto, formerly known as Schlumberger Smart Cards & Terminals, has steadily grown to become the world's leading provider of microprocessor cards. In all, the company has manufactured over 3 billion smart cards and 1 million smart card enabled terminals to date. The company’s range of smart cards, readers and development tools incorporate public key infrastructure (PKI) and other cryptography technologies to provide access solutions - everything from secure ID credentials to authentication solutions for network and information security functions on a single card platform.

The Beginning

Axalto was born with the invention of the chip card in 1979. Axalto (Euronext NL 0000400653 AXL) is listed on the Premier Marché of Euronext Paris.

Axalto is also providing cards for the Transportation Security Administration’s Registered Traveler pilots.
