PrivacyVault has a tiered-permission security system that allows corporations to set policies as to who can view which communications in the company. For example, the CEO could have company-wide, cross-discipline visibility into email communications, whereas department managers might only have visibility and access to email communications to and from those employees reporting to them.

PrivacyVault can retrieve all related emails and attachments whether they are online, near line, or offline using a web based search interface much like those utilized in popular web sites. Search criteria can be by word, phrase, or date and threaded links will provide a view of the replies or discussions grouped together in order of occurrence.

Privacy NETworks offers a complete front-to-back secure email suite, Internet Communications Security Suite, ICSS that includes email archiving, email encryption, anti-spam with integrated anti-virus, and mobile email. ICSS is available in separate modules, as an integrated suite of software, in security appliances or as a managed service offering. All of the products are based on our proprietary architecture and are Linux, server-based products. The products work with all of the popular email clients; Outlook, Thunderbird, Mozilla Mail, Qmail and Lotus Notes.

Components of ICSS include

PrivacyPost – the popular, server-based Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus engine.
PrivacyMobile – the mobile extension to PrivacyPost that allows users to utilize their existing mobile devices, such as cell phones and PDAs to receive email.
PrivacyLock – provides automatic encryption and decryption of email where secure communications are dictated by corporate policy or Federal regulations such as HIPAA.
PrivacyVault – automatically archives incoming and outgoing messages for audit, discovery, and compliance for regulatory purposes such as HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley.

The company is led by Steve Berens who brings more than 20 years of experience in strategy, marketing, sales and engineering to Privacy Networks.

Privacy NETworks received $2.4 million in its first round of venture capital funding. The financing was led by Aweida Venture Partners, the firm operated by Storage Technology Corp. co-founder Jesse Aweida.

Privacy NETworks has an agreement with Hewlett-Packard that allows its software to be embedded in a family of HP security servers.

Privacy NETworks has a partnership agreement with 3t Systems to offer businesses an email filtering service, providing protection against Spam, Viruses, Worms and Phishing attacks. This gives companies a convenient way of protecting their email infrastructure through a managed service provided by 3t Systems.
