FireEye Presents Key Cybersecurity Insights and Security Solutions at the CSI 2010 Annual Conference and SINET Showcase 2010
Company Experts To Demonstrate Technology And Discuss Cloud Computing Security Issues At Top Washington, D.C. Conferences

MILPITAS, Calif. – October 4, 2010 – FireEye, Inc., the leader in next-generation Malware Protection Systems (MPS), today announced that company experts will share cybersecurity developments at two key industry events in Washington, D.C.

Ashar Aziz, CEO, CTO & Founder, will present and demonstrate FireEye’s Malware Protection System at the Security Innovation Network (SINET) Showcase on October 27. The audience includes attendees from the Federal government, private industry, system integration, research institutions, venture capital and investment banking communities. Alex Lanstein, senior consulting engineer for FireEye, will present “Blocking the Covert Channels to Compromise the Cloud" at the annual Computer Security Institute (CSI) 2010 conference at 10am ET on October 29. His cloud security track session will cover how browser-based computing and mobility have given rise to a new breed of stealthy Modern Malware, which targets user credentials used to exfiltrate sensitive information stored in the cloud.

Using FireEye’s Malware Protection System (MPS), organizations can secure their networks against inbound, zero-hour malware, outbound data theft callbacks, and dynamically inoculate their networks from future attacks through both local analysis and global malware intelligence infrastructure. The FireEye MPS blocks targeted attacks, zero-day exploits, advanced persistent threats, and provides accurate, actionable forensics that detail the exact nature of an inbound attack or outbound callback, such as keylogging and other data theft or fraudulent transaction activities.

“We’re proud to share our research findings and security expertise at two conferences that foster strong public-private sector collaboration,” said Ashar Aziz, CEO, CTO and founder of FireEye. “We continue to support CSI’s efforts to educate security professionals, and are pleased to be part of the 20 best-of-class technology companies at the SINET Showcase 2010. These events are important venues to engage and discuss the security solutions needed to address Modern Malware and the covert channels it uses to compromise the cloud.”
