Product: Mazu Profiler Version 6.0 Family: Mazu Profiler
Product Description: Mazu Profiler, a Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) system, protects internal networks by detecting and m itigating worms and internal threats, providing network-wide visibil ity, and easing the burden of regulatory compliance efforts. Mazu Profiler also leverages routers and sw itches that are already deployed on the network and mon itors how cr itical assets and network services are being used and by whom. By providing real-time impact simulation for policy changes and incident respon se, Mazu Profiler enables teams to respond to incidents w ithout disrupting the network, which can be costly for many organizations.
Performance: Mazu Profiler is available in three models configured primarily for the size (number of hosts) and activ ity level (flows per minute) of an enterprise’s network. Standard Mazu Profiler supports mid-sized networks up to 20,000 hosts and 500,000 flows/minute. The Mazu Profiler Blade system is an expandable system based on the IBM blade center, which can support the largest networks in the world up to 400,000 hosts and 1,000,000 flows/minute.
Interfaces: Mazu Profiler has a single-management interface (10/100/1000) which gathers flow data from Mazu Netoworks’ sensors, Mazu Networks’ Regional Gateways, Netflow sources or Sflow sources.
Key Features & Benefits:
Network Visibil ity – Mazu Profiler’s configurable dashboards capabil ity enables secur ity, operations and aud it teams to benef it from the network visibil ity that the system provides. It extends the value of Mazu Profiler to different groups w ithin the organization, providing them w ith specific consoles that display a network view customized to their specific mon itoring needs.
Network Protection – Through the integration w ith vulnerabil ity scanners , Mazu Profiler provides more actionable information in alerts to accelerate the remediation process. This functional ity enables customers to characterize the hosts involved and provide visibil ity into the vulnerabil ities that caused the event, thereby enabling faster corrective actions.
Compliance Readiness – Mazu Profiler’s increased support for Network-Attached Storage (NAS) devices provides customers w ith significant storage space for more detailed and historical flow logs. This increase in storage space enables customers to generate more detailed reports on flow data from specific time periods. Being able to create reports w ith this level of accuracy will greatly aid customers in their regulatory compliance efforts.
Highlights: Mazu Profiler analyzes network traffic and behavior to provide enterprises w ith the network intelligence required to operate internal networks more securely. By examining all internal traffic and analyzing anomalous behavior, Mazu Profiler enables networking and secur ity teams to detect and m itigate secur ity and operational threats; isolate activ ity that places the network at risk and respond quickly to crises w ithout disrupting normal business operations. Add itionally, Mazu Profiler’s abil ity to collect and analyze flow data provides enterprises with increased visibil ity of worldwide network activity.
Mazu Profiler is therefore ideal for any large enterprise w ith a complex and diverse network architecture. A key feature that enables real-time simulation for policy changes and incident response across a geographically disper sed network segments is the Mazu Profiler Regional Gateway. This feature enables enterprises to send flow data securely to a central analysis un it in an encrypted, compres sed and reliable stream from locations around the world.
End-Users: Targeted end-users for Mazu Profiler include small, medium and large enterprises in various industries, including financial, health care, higher education, manufacturing, media and entertainment and government.
