Product Description: The Entrust Entelligence Content Control Solution sits at the network perimeter and analyzes outgoing (or internal) network traffic to detect sensitive/private information from flowing out of the network that might violate corporate or regulatory policies. Additionally, if warranted by policy, data can be automatically protected with encryption. Protocols monitored include SMTP, IM, FTP, and HTTP (ie. Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo! Etc…). Automatic policies can also be set that result in taking specific actions based on analyzed data flow, such as encrypting email traffic, restricting data transmission, or archiving and reporting of policy violations – all from a single platform.

Performance: The Entrust Entelligence Content Control Solution can extract network packets at a rate of one Gigabit per second. These packets are then assembled into ‘conversations’ which are then analyzed for compliance to policies.

Interfaces: For monitoring of email traffic only, and administration (Content Control Server appliance): 2 x 10/100/1000 Ethernet copper

For monitoring of other protocols such as Instant Messaging, HTTP, FTP traffic (Content Monitoring Server appliance) : 2 x 1 0/100/1000 Ethernet copper , plus2 x 1 0/100/1000 Ethernet copper for connection to the Content Control Server appliance for administration.

The Content Control Solution seamlessly integrates with Entrust’s Messaging Server (Boundary Email Encryption) to capitalize on strong email security functionality such as encryption and digital signatures. Encrypted email can be scanned for inappropriate content and policy enforcement. Clear-text content that is designated as sensitive, based the the content analysis can be detected and automatically encrypted prior to being sent over email. Policies can also require all email to specific recipients (such as lawyers, accountants and board members) be encrypted.

End-Users: Medium to large enterprise, with a particular focus on financial services organizations. Any organization that is subject to regulatory pressures such as data breach legislation, Payment Card Industry standards, or is simply concerned about intellectual property leakage is a target organization for this solution.
