Excellence in VoIP

Product: Eclipse CXC-550
Family: Eclipse Series

Product Description: Covergence's Eclipse is the first unified security and management solution for Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based applications and services. The Eclipse was architected, designed, and optimized specifically for managing real-time communication and collaboration applications without sacrificing performance or quality of service. Comprising an integrated set of powerful modules, Eclipse is an easy-to-deploy, highly scalable solution that protects current and future SIP investments, ensures interoperability in multi-vendor environments, and provides a low total cost of ownership. By centralizing all security and management functions, Eclipse provides a single administrative domain for all SIP applications and devices.

Performance: Covergence measures performance by how many concurrent calls its product can support. The CXC-550 (which does support hardware acceleration of media packets with Covergence's MX-1 card) ranges from a low of 4K (encrypted signaling and media) to a high of 20K when handing un-encrypted signaling and media.

Interfaces: Every appliance comes configured with two (2) 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports.

Optionally customers can configure any of these other additional interfaces:

1) 2-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Card. Equips a CXC base unit with one dual-port 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet card with two (2) RJ-45 connectors. Enables 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps full-duplex transmission over Category 5 twisted pair cable. Automatically senses and configures itself for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX or 1000BASE-T operation on a per-port basis.

2) 4-Port 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Card. Equips a CXC base unit with one quad-port 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet card with four (4) RJ-45 connectors. Enables 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps full-duplex transmission over Category 5 twisted pair cable. Automatically senses and configures itself for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX or 1000BASE-T operation on a per-port basis.

3) 2-Port 1000BASE-SX Card. Equips a CXC base unit with one dual-port 1000BASE-SX fiber optic Gigabit Ethernet card with two (2) LC connectors. Enables 1000 Mbps full-duplex transmission over 62.5 m or 50 m multi-mode optical fiber cable. Supports cable lengths up to 275 m over 62.5 m multi-mode fiber and 550 m over 50 m multi-mode fiber.

4) 1-Port 1000BASE-LX Card. Equips a CXC base unit with one single-port 1000BASE-LX fiber optic Gigabit Ethernet card with one (1) LC connector. Enables 1000 Mbps full-duplex transmission over 62.5 m or 50 m multi-mode or 9 m single-mode optical fiber cable. Supports cable lengths up to 550 m over 62.5 m or 50 m multi-mode fiber and 5 km over 9 m single-mode fiber.
